Our house is a charming hideaway with two very spacious bedrooms, each designed as a private sanctuary with its own sitting area and full bathroom. For cooler nights, both feature cozy wood stoves that add a warm and romantic atmosphere. Every corner has been carefully decorated with unique and handcrafted details. The bathrooms, reminiscent of a traditional Moroccan hammam, are clad in Tadelakt technique, and the handcrafted ceramic sinks have been created by us in our workshop. The rustic-style kitchen, full of charm, also stands out for its handmade tiles. The second-floor bedroom will particularly surprise you with its private terrace, offering views of the church rooftops and the mountains of the Natural Park. Additionally, a skylight in its sitting area allows you to gaze at the ancient church tower and its connection to the house; in this bedroom's bathroom, we also find the evocative wall of the Church where the crack from the 1884 earthquake is still visible—a wall made of sand and tuff stone where fossils of leaves from thousands of years ago can be appreciated. Who could ask for more? On the ground floor, a cozy living room invites you to relax. Throughout the house, the locally produced clay floors and original wooden beams complement the limewashed walls, a sustainable material that has been used since ancient times, linking every corner of the house to its past. The building's structure rests on the church tower and part of its wall. Its profile is very slender, and the staircase spirals closely alongside the tower, resulting in steep steps with small treads. The tower is quite prominent with its bells ringing every hour from 09:00 to 23:00. Far from being a nuisance, this ancestral sound is a reminder of the village's history and tradition, a rhythm of ancient life, an echo of the past.

At Casa Al Zaytun, we are Javier and Cristina. More than just a unique accommodation, it is a life project. We arrived from Madrid over 23 years ago and we are still here... after many years of traveling, we found our place in the world here. Although we dedicated a long time to audiovisual production in film and advertising, after the pandemic we decided to change direction and devote all our energy to the restoration of Casa Al Zaytun Pueblo and to our pottery workshop also located in the same village. We love welcoming travelers from all over the world and sharing our love for nature, craftsmanship, and good food.
