Property information

A typical Andalusian farmhouse renovated at Sierra de Lújar, 250 meters above sea level and just a few minutes from the beaches and coves of Castell de Ferro, on the Costa Tropical. Surrounded by mountains, this farmhouse offers rest and tranquility, as well as the possibility of enjoying an indescribable natural environment. The El Molino living room and swimming pool area will be shared with the other guests of the accommodation. The last part of the journey to reach Cortijo Vacas Gordas is a mountain road (2km). The road is accessible with any type of vehicle but we recommend you look at it search for Cortijo Vacas Gordas in GPS satellite mode to make sure you will not have problems. Contact us 30 minutes before your arrival and we will wait for you at the beginning of the trail if you wish to go up with you.

Neighbourhood information

Cortijo Vacas Gordas is located 10 minutes by car from the beaches of Castell de Ferro, we always recommend La Rijana beach. The town has supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, restaurants, etc. Motril and its beaches are a 30-minute drive away. . The towns of Nerja and Frigiliana, well known in the area, are located less than an hour from the farmhouse (45/50 min) and the city of Malaga and its airport are located 1h30 away. Órgiva, the capital of the Alpujarra Granada is only 50 minutes away by car, and from there you can visit the white villages of Capileira, Pampaneira and Bubión, or the highest village in Spain, known for its ham, Trevélez. The city of Granada and its airport are 1 hour from the accommodation, as well as Almería. Cabo de Gata, a well-known natural park is 1h30 from the accommodation. They can practice mountain sports, since the Sierra Nevada station is 1h30 from the accommodation, which in turn is surrounded by the mountains of Sierra de Lújr and Contraviesa. They can also practice diving, paddle surfing, kite surfing on the nearby beaches of the Costa Tropical or on the beaches of Almería (1h).
