Jungle Paradise accommodates a maximum of 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child. The apartment is part of a villa and has a separate entrance via the porch. The rest of the building is occupied by the owner, who respects your privacy at all times.
The apartment features a bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed measuring 160 cm x 200 cm. The living room has an integrated kitchen with a washing machine, a three-burner induction stove, a microwave, an air fryer, a small refrigerator (without a freezer compartment), and a small dining table, as well as a 140 cm x 200 cm sofa bed. The bathroom consists of a glass-enclosed walk-in shower, a double sink, and plenty of storage space. On the furnished veranda with a barbecue grill, you can enjoy direct sunlight in the summer from noon and in the winter from the afternoon. In the front outdoor area, you'll find an additional large dining table where you can enjoy your breakfast in the sunshine in the morning.
The 40 m3 freshwater natural pool (maximum depth 1.65 m) in the garden is for your exclusive use. The pool is not heated and the water may be refreshing in winter (December to March). The water is filtered with glass granulate and sterilized with a UV lamp. Additionally, a minimal dose of chlorine is added to keep the water hygienically clean and to prevent algae growth. Two sun loungers and a sun umbrella provide comfort. Beach and sun lounger towels are available free of charge.
The property offers a beautiful view of the Teide and the upper part of the Orotava Valley.
Private parties are strictly prohibited and guests are not allowed to invite other people at any time. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, and excessive noise should be avoided between 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
Jungle Paradise is home to a five-year-old Belgian Shepherd named 'Luna', who is very affectionate and playful towards people. And if you do not want to play with her, Luna will not bother you.
Jungle Paradise is the fusion of my very own travel experiences throughout the entire Mediterranean region, as well as Indochina (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam) and other countries. During my extense stays abroad I have learnt what essential basics will let you enjoy a comfortable stay, and what additional details will make you really feel at home. My international background also has helped in creating this vacation apartment: I participated in a high school exchange in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, studied in Bogotá, Colombia, as well as at at Mainz University, Germany, and where I later also worked as a student exchange coordinator. Finally, some 16 years ago, I moved to Tenerife, Canary islands, Spain.
There are five free parking spaces available on the public road right in front of the apartment, and dozens of other free parking options are located within less than 100 meters in the vicinity.
Jungle Paradise is located within the city limit of the La Orotava municipality. However, your apartment is actually much closer to the town of Puerto de La Cruz at the sea. Within a 15 minutes walking distance downhill (25 minutes uphill) or a 3 minutes drive there are restaurants, bars, and smaller supermarkets in the La Paz area of Puerto de La Cruz, and at a 25 minute walk or 8 minute drive you will find the supermarkets Lidl, Hiperdino and Mercadona, as well as the large shopping centers “La Villa” (with the supermarket AlCampo) and “El Trompo”. Thus around Jungle Paradise you have all comodities of an urban environment, but not the frenzy, noise and parking problems of a city center.
The apartment is geographically strategically located in the northern center of the island of Tenerife, just 5 minutes away from the northern motor highway (“autopista del norte”). The eastern "Anaga" mountain range, the western "Teno" mountain range, both covered with a lush green, ancient relict laurel forest, as well as the caldera depression of the Teide crater "Las Cañadas" with a subalpine landscape, are all reachable at approximately the same distance.
Jungle Paradise is situated at a perfect elevation of 170 m above sea level - thus in summer it never gets too hot, rarely exceeding 30°C on days with calima (hot and dry high winds coming in from the Sahara desert). Whereas in winter it will never be too cold, with temperatures usually staying at 20°C and above during daytime, and only few nights in mid and late winter when temperatures outside in the garden may drop to 15°C in the early morning hours. During the coldest time of the year (usually from December to March only) an oil filled radiator heater will be supplied to keep your apartment cosily warm.
