Björkholm is a great location to visit for those who like to feel the sea breeze and relax in the mids of nature. The island welcomes guests for over 50 years to spend their summer holidays, fishing trips or short stays to escape the working life. We have eleven cottages. Most of them are located at the shore and have piers with swimming ladders. The cabins have running water, saunas with hot water showers, electric heating, a kitchen, a living area with fire place and bedrooms with single beds. We are welcoming guests since 2018, after moving from the Caribbean to Finland. We started new activities on the island, such as sailing. It has been many years ago this island was in use for self-sustainable living with farm animals. We brought sheep, horses and chicken back to the island! If you like the Archipelago nature and waters, animals and the Finnish cottage culture, we welcome you to Björkholm.

Björkholm is an easy to reach small island, located only 45 km from Turku and 190 km Helsinki. A free of charge ferry connection runs daily to the island. All our cabins have a private wood-fired sauna, an outdoor grill and most of the cabins have a pier with swimming ladder. You can fish from the rocky shores or from the water by boat. We have nature trails, a playground, classic games to play for free and horses and sheep. The stays are based on the Finnish cottage culture. By bringing your own bed linen and cleaning the cottage yourself you can keep the per person price low. In case you prefer ready made beds, you can book bed linen before you arrival or arrange bed linen on arrival. You could also choose for a final cleaning of the cottage. The bed linen, towels and final cleaning are charged separate. We rent rowing boats, boats with outboard engines, SUP´s and arrange weekly 4 hour dinghy sailing courses in English. We rent Optimist and Laser sailing boats for those with experience in sailing. We sell ice cream and soda drinks in our summer kiosk. WiFi is available in the kiosk. On the island you will also find a chapel and sauna for groups.

Finnish Archipelago is a stunning area with numerous rocky shores and island with lush forests. Björkholm is located only 7 km from the famous Archipelago Route. You can already explore the shores for 15,- a day by rowing boat! From the island you can visit our neighboring guest harbors from lunch or just a drink. Those locations are easy to reach by renting a boat with outboard engine. Most of the ferry connections in the area are free of charge. Sint Olaf Waterways is a new pilgrim route which you can follow on foot or with kayak, sailboat or bicycle. By car you can easily visit the cities of Parainen/Pargas, Turku, Nauvo/Nagu and Naantali.
