A renovated farmhouse in the quiet hamlet of Gaillard, near Menesplet and Montpon-Menesterol in the western Dordogne. The house is on a country lane that forms part of the cycle path that starts in nearby Le Pizou and Moulin Neuf and goes all the way to Perigueux. Three bedrooms, two terraces, a sitting room and a breakfast / dining room are available for guests. There is WiFi throughout the house, and free on-site parking is available.

The Rue des Quarts is a lane that forms part of the Isle Valley cycle path, and is in an area that sees many travellers following the pilgrimage route, the pelerinage, to Compostella in Spain. We are close to some of the best wine chateaux in the world, just 28 km (17 miles) from Saint Emilion, and there are many local rural vineyards. Two railway stations are both 7 km (4.5 miles) away: Saint-Seurin-sur-L'Isle, which has a thriving Sunday morning market, and Montpon, which holds a market on Wednesdays. The railway provides easy access to Bordeaux, Libourne and Perigueux.
