OVO Network is the market leader in premium chalet rentals in authentic mountain destinations. Chalet des Momes is an OVO Network property. It is a four bedroom, three bathroom chalet for eight guests, spread over three floors and 156m2 of floor space. The OVO Network team’s opinion - The chalet is in a great location for those who prefer to be in the calm. It has views across to the pistes in Chinaillon, with easy and quick access to the village, via ski bus or car.  We feel Chalet des Momes will especially appeal to families with young children who may have lessons in the morning and then want to head back to the chalet in the afternoons. But then again, the snow park and off piste/ parapenting possibilities make Chinaillon an interesting base for more experienced sports enthusiasts too.  The picture window in the living room frames beautiful views, all year round, and the terrace off the main living space is a total suntrap. The mezzanine bedroom overlooks the dining table and kitchen. The space can be made more cosy and private by drawing the thick floor to ceiling curtains. It has its own shower room, other guests head downstairs to bed, apart from the two guests using the mezzanine. The outdoor spaces at the chalet mean that guests can dine, read, relax in the jacuzzi, sunbathe, play boules on the area to the front of the chalet, or take in the natural beauty of the local waterfall not far from the chalet. About the area ... It’s only 1.2km from Chalet des Momes to the ski lift, but the ski bus stops just 100m from your door and runs very regularly, so there’s no need to get the car out if you’d prefer not to. With your Aravis ski pass, you’ve got all the Lake Annecy ski resorts at your disposal - more than 220km of perfect pistes. Kids will love the great sledge run nearby and the start of the cross-country ski piste is close too. Beginners in this sport will love the nearby Evo Nordic Park, which has a circuit featuring a variety of terrains, while boarders will appreciate the Snowpark. Non-skiers can catch the bus into Chinaillon, go ice-skating in Le Grand Bornand or swimming in La Clusaz, where the heated indoor and outdoor pools are open during the winter and summer seasons. There’s also snowshoeing, sledging, dog-sledding and sleigh rides to choose from! In the spring and summer, a network of walking and biking trails cover the mountains around Chalet des Mômes, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office in Chinaillon - don’t miss the walk to the amazing waterfall just below the chalet. There’s a fantastic swimming pool complex in Le Grand Bornand, with a restaurant and grassy areas for picnics.But If you’re looking for something a little more challenging, there’s a climbing school, via ferrata routes, a tree-top adventure park, canyoning, white-water rafting and paragliding all nearby. August sees the international children’s festival - Au Bonheur des Mômes - in Le Grand Bornand, a week of magic shows, circus acts, theatre, games and workshops, with a grand firework finale. You’re in the heart of Reblochon country, so on your travels don’t forget to pick up some of this delicious cheese from a local farm or market - it’s delicious in a tartiflette!
