Built in 1869 on the orders of l'Impératrice Eugénie, wife of Napoléon III, our house is an ex-presbytery, set on what used to be the village square. The church makes up one of our boundaries! We're nearing the end of a substantial renovation and are ready to welcome our first guests! Our double rooms are all on the first floor (that's the second floor for you North Americans) and each has its own en suite bathroom. We're happy to share our living spaces with visitors. We'd be particularly happy if a guest wished to jam in the music room! We can organise dinners (with plenty of advance warning), and breakfasts on short notice.

Devin is a musician and writer who does most of his work in videogames, and Nadege is in communications at the local town hall. Bilingual in French and English, we like to meet new people and offer a space for anything from an overnight stop to an artists' retreat.

A small town outside Niort, Mougon is a short 7 minutes away from the A10 between Paris and Bordeaux, along the route de Limoges. Niort itself is 14 minutes' drive. Poitiers - 55 minutes, La Rochelle - 60 mins, Nantes 1h45. Bordeaux 2h.
