Dave & I moved to France in 2023 and have renovated an old preserves store as a Gite. Having holidayed in France every summer as a child, I do speak some French but we have both improved our language since arriving in France and continue to do so with help from our friendly French neighbours. Dave is a motorcycle mechanic and having run his own motorcycle business for over 20yrs in the UK, now offers repairs and servicing for motorcycles from our property. We both enjoy riding our own motorcycles in the fair weather. I help with the admin of his business and also provide handholding & cleaning services to British ex-pats moving to France. Our dog, Murphy, and cat, Suzuki also live on the property along with our 6 hens who live in The Chicken Shed.

Gite Petite is a rural property and as such is surrounded by fields with dairy cows. There is a huge amount of wildlife in the area including buzzards, kestrels and roe deer. Many museums and tourist attractions are in the surrounding areas - Mont St-Michel is under an hour away, Fosse Arthour is less than half an hour's drive and the surrounding villages and towns offer weekly farmer's markets where you can buy or sample the local fresh produce.
