We are a young Australian family. We have 4 children aged 4,7,15,18 and our crazy Australian Cattle Dog Kokoda. We love to explore and travel the world but we are always drawn back to our farmhouse in Normandy for the very best of experiences. We have renovated the farmhouse to create a home away from home for ourselves and our guests. We enjoy our creature comforts and conveniences and have ensured the house is laid out accordingly. L'Auberdiere is located only a couple of Kms from the village of Campeaux. It is a pleasant walk to the bakery, butcher, grocery store, hairdresser, garage and of course the local cafe/bar/restaurant 'La Campauline' which is a great place to eat if you don't feel like cooking at the farmhouse on any given night. A little further afield are the large towns of Vire and St.Lo. Both of these have weekly markets, large supermarkets, restaurants and all the shops you may need. Whatever you want to see and experience in Normandy, L'Auberdiere is the perfect place to stay. With main road links only 5 mins away by car you can be at the beach in Granville or on the D-Day beaches inside 35 to 45 mins. If Markets are your passion you can be at Bayeux or Caen in the same amount of time and Mont St.Michel is only 45 to 50 mins away. Walking and cycling trails for novices and experts are on the doorstep at L'Auberdiere and for the super adventurous the Viaduc de la souleuvre is 5 mins from the house and is where you can enjoy the luge, bungee jumping, Europe's highest swing, Zip wires etc.
