After countless years in the hotel and restaurant sector, we finally found our dream location for our chambres -and table d'hôtes. In the beautiful setting of Montaillou with a view on the Plateau de Sault and the surrounding mountain tops, we welcome you since the summer of 2021 with all our dedication and passion. Our wish? Simply to offer you an unforgettable and pleasant experience that you will remember with a smile. All this in a relaxed and family atmosphere, but with all the necessary comfort, taking into account the environment and the world we live in. We are happy to serve you a mix of traditional local dishes and world cuisine, in the morning, afternoon and evening. Local, responsible and high-quality products play the leading role. Fortunately, this is also an aspect that this region is known for.

Welcome at La Caminada Vielha. Nestled in the small village of Montaillou amidst nature and the history of the Cathars, you will find all the peace and quiet you are looking for. Guests have always found a home here over the years as the house has a long history with many memories. Once used as a vicarage, school, holiday camp and now as a chambres -and table d'hôtes. Currently we have 2 rooms available, a double room with en suite bathroom and a family room consisting of 2 rooms with a private bathroom in the hallway. Inside, you will find a balanced mix of old elements and contemporary comfort. But the real eye-catcher is the magnificent view of the plateau and the surrounding mountain tops. This from the rooms, the lounge and the dining room as well as from the terrace and the garden. Sometimes it's the little things that make the difference...

At La Caminada Vielha you will find yourself amidst the green. With a magnificent view of the surrounding nature, we are happy to guide you on all your trips. There is certainly no lack of trails for walking, cycling, horse riding or donkey rides for the little ones. Thanks to the fantastic location, you can step out of our door and find everything you are looking for, from the plains on the plateau to the steeper work towards the surrounding mountain ridges. In winter, you can also indulge yourself on the nearby ski and cross-country slopes or by taking an invigorating walk with snow rackets. The rich history of the village of Montaillou also makes it the ideal base for all those in search of culture. In addition, the area offers many other activities: paragliding, dog sledding, tree climbing, rafting, ... The choice is yours!
