La Lande
La Lande is a tastefully restored 18th century farmhouse. Set in grounds of 10 acres it offers total peace and quite well away from roads yet at the same time it is only 1km from the quaint market town of Bricquebec and 25 minutes from the port of Cherbourg.
After many years of holidaying in France we decided to take early retirement and do something different and enjoyable.
We bought La Lande because it is perfect for family holidays. Safe, stunning beaches, a pretty village and beautiful countryside.
La Lande is set in the countryside near the Voie Verte (A safe Green cycle path) which runs from Cherbourg to Mont Saint Michel. La Lande is on the outskirts of the little market town of Bricquebec with its historic castle famous for its visitors Queen Victoria and General Montgomery.
We are 15 minutes from the safe beaches of Barneville and Carteret and only 20 minutes away visiting the D D landing beaches. Other places to visit are Bayeux , Mont ST Michel and St Mere-Eglise.
