Your hosts, Clare and Nick have two small dogs, Flora and Merlot. Once we introduce them to you, they make a lovely addition to your stay. Please let us know if you are not comfortable with dogs.

Property information

Welcome to our traditional French Maison de Maitre in the sunny Charente Maritime, once belonging to a Cognac enterprise. It has been lovingly renovated and each room is individual. All rooms have 160 x 200 beds and ensuite facilities. There is a shared sitting room and guests have use of the shared heated 10m swimming pool set in the grounds of the walled domain.

Neighbourhood information

Chagnon, Aumagne is a quaint French sleepy village perfect for those seeking a relaxing environment for a holiday, without being remote. We are a short drive away from many historic towns worth exploring, such as St Jean D'Angely, Saintes and Cognac. We are about an hour away from sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast, and cities such as La Rochelle. Bordeaux and St Emilion, are amongst other places that are within reach for a day out.
