Important note: Arrival on Saturdays only. La Marisol is a beautiful 18th century historic townhouse. The living comfort in the thick old stone walls is completed by air-conditioning as well as modern bathrooms, an extensively equipped kitchen, a quiet courtyard and the cosy sun terrace on the top floor. 6 beds are spread over 3 bedrooms. In the cosy kitchen and in the courtyard there is seating at long tables for up to 8 people. New 2022: Fully equipped additional summer kitchen on the ground floor. The location as a back house in an inner courtyard shields you from the everyday noises of the city. In 3 min walking distance you can reach an extra car parking space reserved for you. Important note for guests with disabilities and mobility impairments: From the ground floor, a historic, narrow and steep spiral staircase leads to the living level and from there another steep staircase leads to the attic. There you will find the roof terrace and the air-conditioned bedrooms. Due to these conditions, the accommodation is not suitable for people with mobility problems.

About the host: Even though we don't live in Provence, we love the region around L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue with the mountain ranges of the Luberon, the Vaucluse plateau and Mont Ventoux, which always appears in the background. The region combines all the things we associate with Provence: a Mediterranean climate, excellent cuisine with regional specialities, the scent of lavender, the colours of Provence, old mountain villages, wine, olives and much more. Information about the surroundings: The holiday home La Marisol is located within the old city limits. The arms of the river Sorgue form a kind of island in the town - hence the name L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (= island on the Sorgue). You only have 50 m from the entrance to the house to the river. There, along the shore and the pedestrian zone in the old town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue-la-Sorgue, you will find many cafés, restaurants and shops. You will find art galleries and antique dealers as well as the bakery or regional specialities and supermarkets. Thanks to the absolutely central location, you can easily do everyday things on foot.
