Great for cyclists, anglers and walkers, a well-equipped, cosy house, 3 minutes walk to central amenities, bars and cafes, and less than 10 minutes walk to the Dordogne River - far enough from evening terraces for a quiet night. Good storage for sporting equipment. There are pretty villages to mooch around, endless fishing spots, biking routes, summer evening markets, waterfalls, walking and wild swimming spots. Free electric car charging at 20 paces.
Myself and my partner moved this corner of South West France in 2020 having fallen in love with the area on a cycling holiday a couple of years before. Our idea from the start was to set up a low-impact campsite, to allow people to enjoy and discover this protected little valley, Vallon de Laborie, a perfect location to relax outdoors and appreciate nature undisturbed. Located directly on the Dordogne river, Beaulieu was accredited the Plus Beaux Villages de France status in 2023. An area of outstanding natural beauty, with wild swimming, riverside cafes and restaurants, canoeing, fishing, walking, running and biking all easily available, as well as numerous summer evening markets, and an outdoors approach to life all year round.
