Neighbourhood information

Located in the heart of Monplaisir, this district offers a calm and peaceful setting. It is made up of several structures dedicated to the university sector: Manufacture des Tabacs, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, the Edouard Herriot Hospital, the Léon Bérard Center, the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy. Place Ambroise Courtois (5min walk from the studio) is a central point of the district where 3 main avenues and transport networks converge. The superb Monplaisir district, one of the most popular districts of Lyon. Thanks to its many local shops on Avenue des Frères Lumières and its market set up 3 times a week on Place Ambroise Courtois (heart of the district), Monplaisir is today a truly dynamic urban village that is very pleasant to live in. There you will find all the shops you will need as well as many restaurants and services. Finally, line D (3 minutes from the studio) is the main metro line which will take you in just 10 minutes to the city center with its main attractions (Place Bellecour, Fourvière, Croix-Rousse, Place des Célestins, Place des Jacobins, Place des Terreaux, walks on the banks of the Rhône.
