The house is a former hunting lodge & dates back to 1688, the property is set in its own very private gardens & woodland of 7.5 hectares (15 acres) it has a beautiful lake, gorgeous south facing enclosed courtyard, large salt water swimming pool. the location is very peaceful & ideally situated only 67km to Bordeaux, 64km to Royan, 45km to Cognac & 140km to La Rochelle situated in the among the vine yards & is in the Haute Saintonge region.
Robert & I have been in hospitality for many years managing & owning our own hotel, we have moved to the tranquil French countryside to start a new adventure, offering beautiful gites & all the amenities our guests require.
The property is close to lots of local amenities within a 10 minute drive, supermarket, bank, Pharmacy, boulangerie. MONTENDRE (10 km) Lac Baron Desqueyrou : - Mysterra (labyrinthe) - Bassin Ludique MONTLIEU (22 km) Maison de la Forêt de Haute-Saintonge - Pôle Nature JONZAC (16km) Thermes - Antilles de Jonzac BLAYE (22km) citadel (UNESCO world heritage site) on the banks of the Gironde estuary TALMONT-SUR-GIRONDE (45km) many wine tours to chose from locally
