Dear Future Guests, Born and raised in Provence, I've lived during 17 years in Asia with my family. During all those years, while we were traveling and discovering Asian countries, I have opened the doors to our house in Avignon to travelers from around the world, house, which was also our pied-à-terre when we were on holidays in France. Therefore, this house is equipped and decorated according to what we expect when we travel: - comfort (air conditioning in all the bedrooms, thick mattresses, hotel quality sheets and towels) - equipment : a super well stocked kitchen (including anything basic you may need to prepare your meals: oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee....), bathrooms with soap and shampoo etc .. - cleanliness: as this is probably what we are most looking at when we travel ourselves
So we are happy to offer you our big (roughly 1300 square ft) house, built in the 19th century, but recently renovated to meet the 21st century comfort standard. You will definitely feel, its space, the three bedrooms being on the 1st and 2nd floor, while kitchen and living room are on the ground floor, meaning everyone will be able to spend its holidays at its own pace. You will of course enjoy relaxing and/or sunbathing in our Huge Patio facing South dining Al Fresco on our outdoor dinner table, or enjoying a drink on our small Balcony. Of course, our Private Hot Tub will be the ultimate step to your relaxation during your holidays. Last but not least, because being connected to the world might be essential during your stay, we have set up a super fast Wifi connection (yes, you will be able to surf the internet while enjoying our Hot Tub bubbles!) and Netflix!
The house is located in the city's historic neighborhood, Carreterie - Place des Carmes' neighborhoods. This quarter is and ideal location (a village in the city center), with all types of amenities (supermarkets, organic shops, pharmacies...), and at a stone's throw away from local cultural heritage sites (The Popes Palace and Avignon Bridge are roughly 15 minutes away). The famous Avignon Wet Market (Halles d'Avignon), a must do especially if you plan on doing your home cooking is located in our neighborhood, and so are all the bars and restaurants from the lively Place des Carmes or Place Pie. Finally, the HUGE and FREE Parking lot called "Parking des Italiens" is just 5 minutes walk from home, so convenient in our medieval town!
