Country Cottage with stunning views, south facing, heated swimming pool and spa in a fantastic rural location. Private garden, patio seating area, meadow and woodland. Free parking onsite and additional seating area/BBQ directly outside the cottage.
TWO, stone built 2 bedroom cottages (each sleeps 4 people plus optional single bed) lovely lounge area, comfortably accommodates four adults. TV with free sat (English and French) channels, free internet access. Kitchen/diner, fully equipped. Complimentary welcome food basket on arrival. Shower-room/toilet. Double bedroom and twin room (can be set up as a second double) all beautifully furnished, a real home from home feel.
A great location for a relaxing break set amongst a backdrop of beautiful woodland and rolling meadows surrounding the property, where you can enjoy great walks and free use of hosts bicycles. We have 9 acres of private woodland which children will love to explore. Wildlife is in abundance here with deer grazing daily close by and many other visitors including foxes, rabbits and swallows in the summer months.
We absolutely adore France especially the Brittany region in particular. Our plan was to find a "get away from it all" location that had fantastic country views, a real home from home appeal but not so rural that we felt too isolated. We love 'the French way' of life, the fine food, wine and totally stress free environment. We now spend time doing the things we really enjoy doing like entertaining people and having a good time, walking, cycling, swimming, and travelling. In particular, Paula enjoys being creative; painting and making things like cakes for all occasions and loves catering, entertaining and cooking proper home-made dishes with fresh local ingredients. Andy enjoys outdoor interests; gardening, air rifle target shooting, archery, fishing, and photography.
The property is located in the heart of the countryside but just 1 mile from the local town and 45 minutes from the glorious Pink Granite Coast and fabulous beaches. There is a large lake in on the edge of the town, great for fishing, walking, cycling and picnics. The town is equipped with shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, post office, pharmacy, hairdressers, cinema, night club and a train station. Nearby attractions include; Valley of the Saints, Gorge du Corong, Huelgoat national park and Lake Guerledan for water sports and leisure. Golfing and horse-riding 25 minutes drive away.
