Mas Bleu is very unique because it offers large volumes (huge rooms, high ceilings) even though it is located in the middle of a very charming medieval village full of attractions and artisanal shops. It is at a walking distance from shops and supermarkets. The village is very lively and hosts 2 markets per week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) where you can buy fresh produce from the farmers. The 20 meters pool is located in the peaceful and manicured garden which is the heart of the house. The dormitory for the children and the playroom for the teenagers and adults are a good way to socialize and enjoy the home if it rains. Mas Bleu can host many people but there are many living areas that can give everyone some private space. You can park 5 cars on the property. The house is decorated with unique art and objects that I found upon my travels around the world. Each bedroom is big and you will be able to rest and you will never want to leave Mas Bleu!

I bought it and decorated it so that I could come to spend 2 months with my children in the summer and enjoy the beauty of the south of France where I grew up. Sommieres is a small medieval town that straddles the river called Vidourle. The river glides its way under the town’s medieval gate, on its meandering 80km journey from the Cevennes mountains to the mediterranean sea, 30Kms away from Sommieres. The town has approximately 5,000 residents with a casual, laidback Mediterranean lifestyle. The bridge at the town entrance was constructed by the Roman Emperor Tiberius almost 2,000 years ago. The town also boasts an 11th-century castle built in honor of King Louis 1X whose force took control of Sommieres in 1248. You will enjoy the beautiful narrow streets and market square; the square is surrounded by a broad range of restaurants and cafes and there are festivals held in the square in the summer. Sommieres is perfectly located for sites and cities, trains and airports. Montpellier is only 30 minutes drive away, and the medieval coastal town of La Grand-Motte and beaches on the Mediterranean coast is also only 30 minutes away. Sightseeing excursions can be done in a day - including Nimes, Avignon, the famous Pont du Gard (Roman aqueduct on the Gardon river), La Grande-Motte, Ales, and other great places to visit.
