Nana Mac Chambre d’hôte is an 300 year old farmhouse, located in the serene countryside of Poitou-Charente, France, this charming 6-bedroom farmhouse on the edge of the village of Limalonges (79190) is set within 3.5 acres of orchards and woodland, offering guests an exclusive retreat into nature.
What sets Nana Mac Chambre d’hôte apart is its integration of a small, delightful alpaca farm. Guests can book guided alpaca walks, feeding experiences or join one of our special events on set dates such as 'afternoon tea with alpacas' 'yoga' 'art and crafts' 'mindfulness sessions' - contact the host to check on the dates for special events.
Nana Mac’s breakfast is served in a basket to the room each day where guests can either enjoy their breakfast in the room, or enjoy their picnic breakfast in one of our many dining areas around the the wooded areas or with the alpacas
Dawn & Chris, are originally from East Yorkshire, UK. Dawn spent more than 35 years working in the TV and media industry and Chris was a carpenter joiner for 40 years. They retired from the UK in 2023 and moved to France to launch a small alpaca farm and bed and breakfast.
Nana Macs is in the village of Limalonges. It is on the edge of beautiful countryside but only 2 minutes walk from the local bar (come post office/tabac). Equally only 5 minutes walk from the local restaurant.
There is a larger village of Sauzé-Vaussais 7 mins drive which has a large supermarket, boulangeries and bars and restaurants
For those who love the outdoors, there are walking, cycle routes around the area as well as several nearby lakes with beaches. The Charente and the Vienne rivers are closely and many canoe launch areas as well as guided canoe tours available from Ruffec (8km away).
The Vallee des Singes is 20 minutes from the farmhouse and offers a great day out if you love primates then this is the place to head to as it is home to 450 different primates.
We are only a few minutes off the N10 so perfect for that one night stay during your trips. For early get-aways we can provide a takeaway breakfast - please inform us of this when you book.
