Les Écuries has 3 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, one of which is an en-suite. There is a spacious living room on the first floor has views from the balcony overlooking the garden with its plunge pool, and the countryside beyond. On a clear day you can see the Pyrenees mountains in the distance. The kitchen opens out on to the garden and is well equipped with a large dining table seating 6 people, large fridge/freezer, oven and grill, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The plunge pool in the garden is perfect for relaxing and cooling off on those Summer days and evenings. The plunge pool dimensions are 2.7m x 2.2m, and 90cm deep. Les Écuries also has it's very own boulodrome, for exclusive use of gîte guests who fancy a game of pétanque or boules. There is plenty of seating in the garden for relaxing and alfresco dining and a large, charcoal BBQ provided for guests. The garden, plunge pool and boulodrome are for the private use of guests, and there is free, private secure parking on site for 1 car. There is more parking available nearby.

We're Pascal and Karla. We just bought this gite as part of our main house. We are a franco-German couple, so French, German and English are spoken fluently, who has moved to this beautiful area after several decades living in London. Hopefully, we will now have real summers and a lot of light! We are relatively new to the hosting game, but we like to make a good impression so we will endeavour to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to welcoming you to Les Écuries!

The quaint, pretty village of Saint Nazaire d'Aude has a restaurant/bar, a boulangerie, epicerie, tabac, and a local produce market each Sunday. The famous Canal Du Midi port of Le Somail is part of our commune with a fantastic selection of bars, restaurants and ice cream cafés. St Marcel with several restaurants, and 2 supermarkets is within walking distance. The surrounding area with its villages and vineyards is perfect for walkers and cyclists to explore. There are many places of interest to visit whilst staying at this very conveniently located gîte. The famous Canal du Midi with the many pretty villages surrounding it, the Medieval World Heritage site of Carcassonne steeped in the history of the Cathars, Minerve, Lagrasse, and of course many beaches from just 30 minutes drive away including Narbonne Plage and Leucate with its beach front bars, and Gruissan with the famous beach houses on stilts featured in the film Betty Blue. The beautiful City of Narbonne is just a 20 minutes car journey, and Beziers 40 minutes. The nearest airports are Carcassonne, Beziers and Perpignan just 45 minutes by car. Montpellier airport is 1h15m away, then you have Girona airport and Toulouse 1h45m away.
