The Barn Owl is an early 16th century stone cottage in Breton style. Fully tiled throughout the ground floor and pine floors upstairs. The ground floor is a spacious open plan area with exposed beams and a wood burner set into a huge original granite fireplace, 2 comfortable sofas, English satellite TV with DVD and CD players. The dining area has a round oak dining table and chairs which seats 8 and a large oak glass fronted dresser. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with kitchen units, electric oven, gas hob, cooker hood, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. Bedroom 1 with a king size bed and en-suite shower room, Bedroom 2 with a double bed, Bedroom 3, a children's room with 2 sets of sturdy pine bunk beds, and a separate family shower room with electric wall heater. The cottage is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, kitchen utensils, duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels. Electric heaters are available to heat the bedrooms out of season. Our sunny pool which is shared with our 1 smaller cottage is 36 feet by 15 feet by 4 feet deep and has a wide shallow Roman steps leading down into the main swimming area . The steps are ideal for toddlers and small children to paddle and play in the warm water. The pool is heated environmentally and we use a salt chlorination system which is gentle on the skin and eyes. It is situated in its own garden surrounded by lawns, screened by shrubs and trees for your privacy. There are sun loungers, chairs, tables & parasols set around the pool and pool inflatables and dive toys. The shared pool is heated May - September, weather dependant. There is a sheltered garden to the front of the cottage with outdoor dining table table, chairs, sunshade, barbecue, children's swings and a gate opening to the heated swimming pool.There is a selection of toys, games, books & DVD's to suit all ages in the courtyard Play Barn as well as our Wood Store guests larder where bread & pastries can be ordered daily.

The property is situated in the rural heart of Brittany in the historic hamlet of Rosquelfen within very close proximity to the wonderful Lac De Guerledan with its safe sandy beaches, swimming, watersports , boat hire and restaurants. Considered one of the prettiest parts of Brittany easy driving distance from the beautiful Pink Granite Coast and the Emerald Coast to the north, and the Gulf of Morbihan to the south. The pretty village of Gouarec is just a 3 minute drive (or 20 min walk) where you will find restaurants, bars, bakery, convenience shop and bike hire for cycling along the shady tow paths of the Nantes-Brest canal. Our cottages offer a peaceful and private setting in a rural area of Brittany ideal for both exploring and relaxing.
