With independent access and private terrace, the studio has far reaching views over the surrounding countryside and easy access to the 12m x 6m pool. This charming conversion of a former animal barn comprises a bedroom with kitchenette and a separate shower room - “A perfect hideaway for two”!
Lee and I are totally in love with France! We bought our first property here in 2007, a charming Normandy cottage. In 2015, we fulfilled our ambition to own a chateau - we bought Chateau Mareuil, a pretty medieval chateau right in the middle of France. We now live here in France; our beautiful chateau, the new Petit Donjon and our Petit Prince Studio are all available for your next holiday…
The Chateau de Mareuil is an ancient medieval castle which is at least 700 years old! It has been beautifully restored, is small and perfectly formed! We live on site in the pretty gite to the left of the mads.ain picture. There is an ancient "Donjon" and various other outbuildings to explore. The gardens are extensive and full of fruit and flowers with several delightful places to sit, sip wine and admire the view. For larger groups up to 12 +, the Chateau itself is available to rent, plus our newest renovation, The Petit Donjon sleeps up to 6 - please see our other ads Located between the regional capitals of Poitiers and Limoges, Mareuil is closest to the towns of Montmorillon, Le Blanc, Le Dorat & Bellac.
