Dear guests,
Starting from April 2026, Villa Merkel will open a new space for seminars — a cozy and spacious terrace with a scenic view, a roof and protective side walls, completely sheltered from sun and rain. The area accommodates 20–25 people and is ideal for training sessions, seminars, workshops and master classes, presentations and mini-conferences, round-table discussions, creative workshops, networking events, off-site meetings, corporate gatherings and thematic sessions. The space is equipped with tables, sofas, chairs and all necessary equipment.
The entire house and its enclosed grounds are at your full disposal.
Cosmetic renovation of the rooms was completed in November–December 2025.
Dear guests,
The owners of Villa Merkel are a large family, where the husband is a well-known lawyer and the wife a talented artist. Their approach is warm and welcoming, and their goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The owners or their representatives will not disturb you unnecessarily — only two brief meetings are planned.
The first meeting will take place on the day of your arrival. During check-in, you will receive detailed instructions and a short tour of the house. You will learn where everything is located, how the household systems work, and receive information about switches, kitchenware, household appliances, as well as all the details that will help you use the house comfortably.
The second meeting takes place on the day of your departure, when you hand over the house and we receive it.
Check-in and check-out time
According to the established rules:
• check-in — after 15:00 (at any convenient time),
• check-out — until 11:00 in the morning.
We understand that travel is not always predictable: flight schedules, trains, road conditions and other factors may vary. Therefore, if this does not interfere with previous or upcoming bookings, we may — with respect and attention to your situation — offer early check-in or late check-out free of charge. These cases are individual and discussed in the site chat.
For accommodation of up to 28 guests, we provide everything necessary, and this is included in the price:
• bed linen, extra pillows, sheets, blankets and duvet covers;
• towels, cleaning and hygiene products, toilet paper;
• a fully equipped kitchen: dishes, cutlery, glasses, plates and everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The villa owners are always open to communication and ready to help with any questions. The house is filled with family warmth — meals feel like a small celebration, and creativity and care are reflected in every detail.
A Little About Villa Merkel
You will be delighted by the panoramic pool, equipped with a counter-current swimming system and hydromassage. The property also features an outdoor freshwater shower, children’s swimming toys, shaded pavilions, sun loungers with mattresses, vintage poolside tables, and a unique stone table crafted from an 18th-century millstone.
The villa’s grounds include a small tropical garden filled with palm trees, yuccas, cacti, lemon trees, and various exotic plants. A pond with numerous golden fish in every shade complements the scenery. At the entrance, a historic fountain, crafted by Italian artisans, is now beautifully overgrown with water lilies. A charming little bridge connects both sides of the pond. The breathtaking mountain views add to the serene and relaxing atmosphere.
The peaceful and cosy garden divides the villa into several intimate spaces, making it perfect for private, family, or corporate events, regardless of the weather. The landscape design embraces an eco-friendly style, showcasing the use of natural historic stone. Situated at the highest point in the area, the villa offers stunning views of the Pyrenees, tiled rooftops of local villages, distant castles, and the meanders of the Nive River.
It is worth noting that Villa Merkel represents a unique combination of natural beauty, ecology, and art, embodied in sculpture, painting, and applied crafts. It is not just a welcoming space rich in artwork but also a harmonious environment blending relaxation and culture with a special focus on ecology and care for nature.
The property is also home to numerous birdhouses, shelters for owls, and specially designed homes for squirrels living in the nearby woods. Villa Merkel actively supports the natural environment and promotes a harmonious coexistence between people and nature.
