David and Fiona live in the house adjoning the rooms at the front. We are property search and holiday house managers. David is a writer and Fiona is a chef. They enjoy Penzance living with their dogs Moth and Wilf. We are available to all our guests and more than happy to help make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. But consider guests privacy and security high priority.

1 Courtyard Mews offers private and secure accommodation in the heart of Penzance. A few minutes walk to the station and centre of Penzance. With a large, bright bedroom with a kingsize bed, a sitting area with a table, a small flat screen TV with Netflix and usual channels, free wifi, a generous tea/coffee tray and a large, elegant bathroom en suite. Choice of shower or bath with constant hot water. Fresh towels and good quality laundered sheets provided. The room is up a flight of stairs which are quite steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues or people with large suitcases. The door is lockable and completely secure. There are basic cooking facilities with a microwave, toaster, electric single hob and a tiny oven with pots and pans provided. . We have an arrangement with local inn which serves excellent breakfast. We are happy to reserve a table for our guests. We supply a handy list of places to eat, drink and relax. Taxis available and transfers. We are less than 10 mins from the station and bus station. The room is self check, one dog allowed, one cot is available but we do not take toddlers or children. Two people maximum. Strictly non smoking. Use of a pretty courtyard space where you can sit with a coffee or glass of something which is also non smoking. A perfect short stay option and stop over before or after the ferry to the Isles of Scilly, a short stay in Penzance. walking holidays etc. One dogs allowed on request only. A cot is available for infants. The room is not suitable for toddlers, young children or anyone with mobility issues due to the steep staircase going up to the bedroom. This is a quiet place for those looking for a peaceful stay and loud music , parties are not permitted and guests will be asked to leave if they behave inconsiderately. This is a very strictly non smoking / non vaping property.

The apartment is a few minutes walk into Penzance which is a delightfully Cornish town full of cafes, pubs and bars. The beach at Longrock overlooks St Michaels Mount and is a safe swimming beach. Newlyn and Mousehole is a walkaway. The room is perfect for travellers to the Scilly Isles on the ferry which is a few mintues walk away or from Lands End Airport. The station is a 5 minute walk which makes the room convenient for getting about and arriving from anywhere upcountry including London and Edinburgh. Penzance boasts a famous tropical garden, a beautiful and iconic lido with a geothermal spa, coastal walks, visits to St Michaels mount and the iconic Minack theatre, Penlee park and gallery hosting outside plays and concerts, a waelth of interesting shops and boutiques along with countless quirky pubs, cafes and a threatre. Train rides to St Ives , Porthleven by bus, Sennen Cove and the stunning Penwith peninsula .
