Dan y Coed means 'under the trees'. Our cottage has nestled under the wooded hillside of Tan yr Allt for 200 years. The cottage is on the outskirts of Llanidloes, a 10 minute walk to town. We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction and the cottage is equipped to a high standard. We welcome all people and well behaved pets (downstairs). Come, enjoy the opportunity to walk, cycle, sail, fish or just relax. We are eco friendly in every way possible. Caring for the planet and guests a top priority.

I live with my husband and sons near Llanidloes. We love the countryside around us, spending time walking in hills, mountains, valleys and woodlands of this area. Llanidloes is a quiet, friendly town making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of bigger places. We wanted to run a holiday let to encourage guests to this special place. We're off the beaten track and our little town welcomes and needs the support of visitors. We love to travel and always enjoy the kindness of strangers when we are away from home. We hope to emulate this for our guests at Danycoed. I work part time at my local primary school, teaching. Darrin is a geologist, working either from home or offshore. Cleaning Danycoed is enjoyable because the house has a calm atmosphere: who could have thought that cleaning is actually, quite a tonic! Hope you enjoy it too..... Llanidloes is known for it's friendly atmosphere. Perfect for discovering the Cambrian mountains. A driveway for one car plus parking at the front. Nearest railway station is at Caersws. National Express bus arrives daily in town. I am happy to pick up guests arriving by public transport.
