With access to a small beach from the garden our home is nestled alongside the beautiful Gruinard Bay in the small village of Laide, an ideal location for the outdoor enthusiast, wildlife watcher & beachcomber. Our b&b is small but very comfortable with superb views over the sea to the Coigach mountain range, the Summer Isles & the impressive An Teallach Ridge - a must climb for the experienced hillwalker. We have 3 bedrooms all of which are en-suite and uniquely decorated to reflect the fantastic nature that this area offers and our outdoor seating areas are perfect for admiring the sea view whilst overlooking the picturesque garden. Wester Ross is renowned for its outstanding beauty, mountain peaks & majestic beaches & especially for us the most fantastic variety of wildlife. With many walks in the area & several beautiful beaches to choose from it's the perfect place to spend time admiring, walking or relaxing. We are also situated on the increasingly popular North Coast 500 route.
Please be aware that we cannot accept a check in before 4pm or after 9pm
The stunning Mellon Udrigle beach is just a 3 mile drive from the house there is also a wonderful coastal circuit which can be walked from the beach.
The start of the walk to the picturesque and secluded bay of Slaggan is just 2 miles from the house.
5 miles away is Gruinard Beach, a large beautiful beach when the tide is out, perfect for a long stroll.
Inverewe Gardens is a National Trust property and is just a 15 minute drive away in Poolewe.
The Russian Arctic Convoy Museum is just 2 miles away in Aultbea.
We are a good base for those wanting to explore the Fisherfield Forest & the start of the walk for An Teallach is just 15 miles away. We also have many good walks close by. Coastal, river & mountain walks. From walking along the Gruinard or Poolewe Rivers to walking the likes of Sail Mhor & Beinn Ghobhlach.
Laide Post Office & Petrol Station is just 500 meters away.
The nearest eatery is The Ocean View Hotel a 10 - 15 min walk away, in Aultbea there is Oran Na Mara Cafe, in Mellon Charles is the Perfume Studio. In Poolewe there is the Poolewe Hotel, in Dundonnell there is the Dundonnell Hotel, in Gairloch there is The Myrtle Bank Hotel, the Barn Cafe, the Old Inn & several others.
