A lovely B&B, the couple who run it are very friendly, helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were fantastic, overall it was very good value. We highly recommend it.

Nicola & myself have owned the Anchor now for 21 years. Anchor House has been a B&B since 2017.

Property information

Anchor House is situated 75 metres from St. Wilfred's Church, Which is convenient for Weddings, Christenings & Funerals. Anchor House was the Anchor Inn and has had a total refurbishment over the last 12 months. We now offer 4 Beautiful en-Suite bedrooms. 2 on the ground floor with easy use for wheelchairs and 2 on the 1st floor. This is a beautiful place for the Bride & Family to prepare themselves for the big day. Easy access for Donna Nook come see all the baby Seals. Cadwell Park is just on the doorstep. Sutton on Sea with its beautiful beaches is only 6 miles away. Skegness is 14 miles away.

Neighbourhood information

Alford is a fantastic small town of roughly 3500 people. They are warm and very welcoming. Alford was mentioned in the Magna Carta when 13 people lived here. Things of interest in Alford. The August Bank Holiday Fair has so many attractions it has got to be one of the best in Britain. Cadwell Park Motorbikes is on regular. There have been quite a few people of interest that have come from here. Just one or two to mention Captain John Smith. Yes, Captain John Smith. From Disney's Pocahontas. No, he was not a cartoon first. He lived just down the road at Willoughby. He went to Queen Elizabeth 1st School in St. Wilfred's Church Alford. Also, Thomas Paine went to America and was said to have coined the phrase The United States Of America. When they signed The Declaration of Independence. Alford is well worth a visit. Alford is a quaint, quiet, and convenient place to visit. August Bank Holiday is Fantastic.
