Anvil The Old Smithey is a beautiful traditional Cornish granite iconic grade two listed historical building with two large rooms within the beautiful village of St Erth near the stunning golden sandy beaches of Hayle & St Ives on the north coast of Cornwall. Consists of a large king size bedroom with shower ensuite and a large open plan kitchen with living area , central cooking station that can seat four people, complete with comfortable sofa bed which enables the property to sleep up to four people. With central cooking station for pleasant social contact whilst cooking. Anvil provides ample luxury towels and bed linen provided with the option of beach towels available also. Parking for one vehicle at the property with plenty of free street parking opposite and 100 metres down the hill in the two car parks by St Erth river. The Star Inn down the road providing lovely pub food, fine wines and local ales etc is located 100 metres from The Smithey. Anvil can accept one small dog upon request to the host for a charge payable on arrival. Extra pets can be discussed with the host if required. The Smithey has been sympathetically renovated in recent years retaining original aspects with additional modern touches.

Anvil is situated within the beautiful Cornish village of St Erth near the endless sandy beaches of the seaside towns of Hayle and St Ives. Penzance and the city of Truro are both 20 minutes drive away. The Eden Project and The Gardens of Heligan are 40 minutes , The Tate gallery St Ives and the Geothermal Jubilee pool of Penzance 10 minute drive away with the Minack theatre being a 25 minute drive . Lands End 25 minutes drive, Falmouth with the famous Marine museum 35 min drive. St Erth regularly host village community events that welcome visitors such as the Easter Duck Race, The Summer Sensation, The Vintage Bike Ride and the Harvest Auction and the big Christmas Tree light up. Bands play regularly at The Star Inn and there are weekly quiz nights.
