Bank End is a cosy ex quarrymans cottage. Situated down a quiet lane within 1.5 miles inland from St Bees. It is ideal for visiting the Western Lakes such as Ennerdale, Wastdale and the historic town of Ravenglass. GUESTS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE BATHROOM IS LOCATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR AND THE STAIRS TO THE FIRST FLOOR IS QUITE STEEP AND WILL NOT SUIT ANYONE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES
Dear guest my husband and I have been renting this property out successfully since 2018. We originally used a letting agent while we were touring around the UK and Europe in our motorhome before setting up our permanent home in Cumbria in Autumn 2019. In February 2020 we started letting the cottage ourselves just before the first lockdown. The past two years have been challenging but we are now hopeful that 2022 will be the restart everyone is ready for. The cottage is set over two floors ,with a bedroom and snug on the first floor and sitting room kitchen/diner and bathroom on the ground floor. We feel that the unique feature of the cottage is the first floor snug which has a record player with a varied selection of vinyl records for your enjoyment.
Bank End is located approximately 1.5 miles from the coast at St Bees and the start of the Wainwright Coast to Coast walk. We are in easy distance by car to Scarfell Pike,Wastdale and Ennerdale. The coastal town of Whitehaven is within 5 miles where you will find shops and restaurants. The busy Lakes Town of Keswick is about 45 mins by car where there is access to Derwent Water and many of the popular fells.
