This light, airy and spacious family home is designed to sit over three floors with epic sea views from every room, and access from the front door to the two beaches of Saundersfoot, which are divided by the harbour. Turn right to cross the deserted sands, up the cliff and through the woods to Tenby (David’s favourite pre-Sunday roast walk!) with plenty of places to stop off and swim or collect mussels and skim stones. Turn left to access the traditional, bustling village beach. Think pedalos, ice cream, chippys, penny arcades as well as restaurants to suit all budgets.
You'll certainly be spoilt for choice of things to do during your stay. This region has a burgeoning selection of artisan shops, seafood restaurants and boutique shops; part of a growing local scene. The Wales International Coastal Centre on Saundersfoot Harbour is home to the National Events Deck and Crabbing Centre! The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is also home to some of the finest beaches in the world, so if you're a water baby, you're in luck! You can even take a leisurely undulating five-mile walk along the beach to neighbouring Tenby, one of the area's main tourist centres.
If you're a Dylan Thomas fan, you can visit his famous boat house, and recreate his daily walk around the estuary at Laugharne, a short drive away. Meanwhile, history buffs will enjoy a visit to Pembroke Castle, the former home of Henry VIII's father and great uncle, and, indeed, his birthplace. Wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy dolphin spotting tours just one hour away at Cardigan Bay, whilst there is excellent fishing, mackerel and crabbing at Milford Haven.
In the mood for some extra pampering? You'll find the opulent St. Bride's Spa - complete with ocean views and one of the finest infinity pools in the UK - literally around the corner (early booking is recommended), while if you're not in the mood for cooking, we can arrange for you to visit our friend, Matt Powell, the star chef and foraging genius at his new venture Anwen.
Though with some of Pembrokeshire finest destinations rolled right out before you, from windswept Tenby to the ultra-cool Narbeth High Street, choosing exactly what to do with your holiday time could prove to be quite a task in itself!
