About this property
Set in a beautifully preserved 13th-century Devon longhouse, Bearslake Inn is a charming thatched pub nestled between Okehampton and Tavistock in the picturesque hamlet of Lake. Located on the edge of Dartmoor, our inn offers a warm welcome, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week alongside locally brewed real ales and fine wines. With six spacious rooms with attached bathroom, Bearslake Inn provides a peaceful retreat with on-site parking and easy access to the A30, just 2 miles away. Outdoor enthusiasts will love our prime location, with Sourton Tor, Corn Ridge, and Great Links Tor just a short walk away, as well as the Granite Way cycle path running directly behind the pub. Each of our rooms includes tea and coffee-making facilities, complimentary toiletries, digital TV, free WiFi, and private bathrooms with hairdryers. Ironing facilities are also available. Four of our rooms are dog-friendly, making us the perfect choice for guests exploring Dartmoor with their four-legged companions. Start your day with one of our delicious breakfast hampers, available daily for an additional fee. Packed with homemade treats, Devon yogurts, fresh fruits, local juices, breakfast pastries or even a hot bacon bap, it's the perfect indulgence. We also offer a Grab & Go breakfast with a takeaway coffee or tea and a croissant per person. At Bearslake Inn, we take pride in serving West Country-inspired dishes made with locally sourced produce. Our historic Bar offers a selection of real ales and fine wines, while our spacious pub garden features stunning views of Dartmoor across open farmland—a perfect spot to unwind.
