My property is a victorian townhouse with a small front garden and steps at the side up to the front door. It is a house full of art, both paintings, pottery sculpture and some stained glass. The stairs inside the house are very steep and the rented room and bathroom. are at the top.
Retired teacher enjoying the arts and travel. Renting rooms is a small hobby which takes second place to accommodating my two grandchildren most school holidays.
Glastonbury is a quirky place. It has an interesting history and the remains of a wonderful abbey at its heart. Chalice Well garden with its red and white spring water attracts many people who find peace and, some say, healing, within it. There are many myths and legends associated with Glastonbury and 'The Oracle' a free newspaper, advertises a myriad of Healers, Tarot Card readers, Tibetan Chanters, Shiatsu Crystal Healers, Reiki, Hypnotherapy,Yoga, Mindfulness etc. Goddesses hold a popular festival and the white and red dragon make an appearance once a year! If you can't find something to suit---make your own 'religion' up. It is a small town and you are unlikely to get lost in it. A car is unnecessary and is not always easy to park! The town is about 40 mins from Frome, Bath, Taunton and Bristol. Wells is about 10 mins away by car and the cathedral there HAS to be seen. The market near the cathedral is also worth a visit, it operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays.Market in Glastonbury is much smaller and operates on Tuesdays in the Abbey carpark.
