About the place: 10 minutes walk to the beach, Promenade, pier and shops, in a perfect location for a visit to Worthing. Only a 3 min walk to the hospital. Waitrose and Lidl are just across the road and there are dozens of pubs and restaurants plus the UKs oldest cinema, The Dome, all within half a mile. There is a lovely little courtyard at the back with a BBQ and a tiny space at the front to sit. Free on street parking is available but not guaranteed. Parking permits will be provided if needed. EVs cannot be charged from the property. This holiday home is a small mid terrace house (70 sq m) built around 1900. The accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms, a lounge/kitchen with real fire, modern bathroom with a shower over the bath, a lean-to laundry room and a small courtyard garden. Bedroom 1 is at the front of the house and has a standard double bed and a z-bed if required. (only suitable for a small child who needs to be in same room as parents/carers) Bedroom 2 is at the back of the house (no traffic noise) and has two single beds. both these rooms are upstairs with the bathroom. Bedroom 3 is downstairs at the front of the house and has a small double bed, most suitable for 1 person. The kitchen area is fitted with modern appliances including a dishwasher, boiling water tap, oven, hob and microwave. It has double patio doors opening onto the small courtyard garden which is laid with artificial grass. There is a fire place for a cosy real fire and during the colder months everything is provided for your first fire. After this wood can be purchased from Waitrose which is just over the road. A 'lean-to' utility room contains a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and small freezer. This is also where you will find the outdoor chairs and cushions plus a small selection of games and books. There is good WiFi throughout and a smart TV (inc Netflix) in every room plus a DVD player in twin room. We will be available on arrival to welcome you and hand over the keys.

About the neighbourhood: The house is on a narrow but busy road, running past the hospital. there is a local real ale pub just down the road and another pub with a great vibe and fabulous food on the corner in the other direction. Within a few minutes walk in either way there are 2 super parks, one with a children's play area, table tennis tables, tennis courts and a skate park and the other one with Bowles, a nature area, wild planting and a great cafe. Just past this is another green area and the beach. In winter Worthing has a beautiful covered ice rink and in summer the WOW! (Worthig Observation Wheel). Both great family attractions. There is also a large bowling alley (Hollywood Bowl), a swimming pool complex (Splashpoint Leisure) and many traditional amusement arcades. There are plenty of places to run, walk or cycle. The promenade runs for many miles in both directions and is a shared use space for pedestrians, dogs and cyclists. The Dome cinema is one of the oldest picture houses in the country and a stunning place to watch a film while you relax with your popcorn and glass of wine or cup of tea. Wind surfing is very popular along this stretch of coast with dedicated areas and wind surf/kite surf schools in both Lancing and Worthing. We are also just a short drive from the stunning South Downs National Park, the UKs newest national park and an International Dark Skies Reserve. ** We have a beach hut close by and if you'd like to rent this for a day or 2 please just let us know and we can send you details.** About your hosts: Hi, I'm Karen, and you'll usually meet either me or my husband Steve when you check in. I work for an airline as cabin crew and love flying to far off destinations, Cuba being one of my favourites. Steve has recently retired and has taken on the day to day running of this holiday home.
