Chatterbox Cottage is nested away in the village of Middleton by Wirksworth in the Derbyshire Dales and on the doorstep of the Peak District. Chatterbox is a cosy and perfectly positioned for romantic get away, with an open plan kitchen and lounge with log burner, the upstairs to the comfortable double bedroom with plenty of storage and bathroom with shower. Outside there is a private parking space and a cute little front graved area with bistro set - perfect place to watch the world go by after a day of exploring the Peaks! Middleton is a charming village, with tradional pubs, the stone centre, star disk, the millenium Wall and great access to the high Peak Trail and black rocks.

Middleton is the perfect location for a quiet break away in Derbyshire. Close to The Peak District, there are many things to do to keep everyone entertained. Close to Middleton is the High Peak Trail and Black Rocks. This is perfect for people wanting to walk and take in the views of the countryside. Very close to the cottage are two local pubs. A 2 minute walk from the cottage is the Nelson Arms, then a 10-15 minute walk to The Rising Sun. Alternatively, the market town of Wirksworth is very close by - there are lots of independent shops, cafes and pubs to visit. Misddelton is also close to Matlock Bath - a very popular tourist location. This is known as the ‘seaside without the sea’. There are arcades, fish & chip shops as well as the well known Heights of Abraham. The Heights of Abraham has cable cars to appreciate fantastic views over the village and surrounding areas. The cottage is very close to a bus route, the 6.1. This can be used to take you into Matlock or Derby.
