No smoking.. Welcome to Chyvelyn, a newly converted studio suitable for two in the seaside town of Perranporth, on the north coast of Cornwall. The owners have even thoughtfully provided a welcome pack inclusive of tea, coffee, sugar and milk, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is so much to do in the area, known as the ‘gateway’, to one of Cornwall’s most spectacular beaches, the town has a much quieter feel than the neighbouring Newquay. This is an ideal base to explore this part of the country, the beach is over 3 miles of golden sand, and on a calm day you a picture the smugglers coming in with their stolen goods. Ideal for all ages, and open to dogs all year round, our four-legged friends can run free whilst you enjoy a stroll or maybe take a dip in the sea. This is a very popular location for surfers as it is not quite as busy as the neighbouring Fistral Beach in Newquay, it offers great waves at Droskyn Point and at the western end of the beach, and there is an outside tap at the property for washing wetsuits and boards with drying hooks for your wetsuits. For those that enjoy history check out Perranzabuloe Millennium sundial on the cliffs below Droskyn car park, the views are stunning. Ideal for a mini vacation, just over 8 miles from Newquay it is surrounded by smaller villages such as Goonhavern where the Saints Trail has just been opened to walkers and cyclists.
