Quietly located in the village of Cold Aston, just a stone’s throw from Bourton-on-the-Water, the Coach House offers space and tranquillity in a lovely setting. Throughout the coach house, original features take centre stage revealing exposed stone walls, aged timbers, and old beams. There’s detail in the little touches too, with brace and latch doors, antique light switches and a wooden settle. Enjoy lazy breakfasts and relaxed suppers at the 8-seater dining table, then retire to the comfy sofas set around the welcoming glow of the wood-burning stove. During the summer months, you can throw open the doors to the courtyard and soak up the late afternoon sunshine. The two bedrooms are equally enchanting with beamed, vaulted ceilings, village views and lots of space to relax. The free-standing bathtub in bedroom one just invites you to fill it with bubbles, lay back and let the worries of the world simply drift away. The Coach House enjoys a courtyard area with parking for two cars. The cobbles to the front of the property are the perfect spot for the dining table and chairs, where you can relax in the fresh air. There are footpaths from the door and the village pub is just a short walk away. The Coach House is one of our pet-free properties and therefore dogs and other pets are not permitted. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. The historic village of Cold Aston has a friendly local pub with good food, a medieval church and the Coach House forms part of the Old Vicarage, which is one of the oldest buildings in the village. Located in the heart of the Cotswolds there are myriad attractions within easy reach. Bouton-on-the-Water is 2.5 miles away and Stow-on-the-Wold and the Cotswold Farm Park are within 10 miles. Within a 30-minute drive, you can be in beautiful Burford, browsing the farm shop and homewares of the Daylesford empire or exploring the historical charms of Sudeley Castle. Farm shops, delis, and shopping: There are some excellent foodie places to explore. For bread and delicious bakery items, there is Otis & Belle in Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton in Marsh. There are excellent butchers in Stow-on-the-Wold (Lambournes) and Northleach (Jesse Smith and JW Castle). Cheese lovers should head for the Cotswold Cheese Shop in Stow-on-the-Wold and pick up coffee from Stow Coffee whilst there. The Market Garden and the Farm Shop in Cirencester are recommended for fresh local produce. Cafes, pubs, and restaurants: The Plough, Cold Aston – village pub with good beer and food.
