Just a wee note to tell you about ourselves and to welcome you to Woodland Cottage at Newlands of Budgate. We started our small holiday let business – back in 2015, while I was still working in the oil and gas industry and Caroline worked as a hairdresser from home. Since then, we’ve managed to grow the business to a point where we could quit our respective jobs and concentrate solely on providing top quality accommodation for our guests. We both love our home country Scotland. Its beauty, rugged scenery and spend a lot of time outside exploring the playground we get to call home, while hill walking or canoeing to mention a few of our pursuits. Always happy and would love to share our knowledge of the local area and further afield. We want your stay to be absolutely terrific and will work with you to ensure an excellent visit. The cottage provides 2 bedroomed accommodation with a warm and cosy atmosphere with its wood burning stoves in kitchen and lounge with comfy beds for that home from home feeling. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with comfy mattress and clothes storage cupboard and the second bedroom has two comfortable single beds. For additional guests there is a sofa bed situated in the lounge. Serviced with mains pressured water the bathroom contains a large bath and free-standing shower unit with central heating upstairs and underfloor heating downstairs, in addition to the 2 wood burning stoves for those cosy winter nights. For those budding chef’s the kitchen is fully equipped and a dining table provides ample seating for a family and a booster chair is provided. Set within our lovely garden and surrounded by woodland just 200m off the back road - gives guests and children the safety and freedom to roam from the front door. Located just 15 minutes from Inverness airport.

As we are located out in the country side a car is required, but not essential. Please contact us and we can provide the number to our friendly taxi driver who knows the place and can take you straight here! The closest bus route is in the village of Croy - 3 miles away. You will find ample parking on arrival.
