The Location Erwood is a rural village located in the Wye Valley surrounded by countryside. The village has a local pub (with the best homemade chips!) and the cottage is a stones throw away from the River Wye walks (photos listed). The village is located in what is arguably some of the most beautiful countryside of Wales. A 10 minute drive away is Builth Wells, it lies within the Historic Boundaries of Brecknockshire, situated on the banks of the River Wye and the River Irfon – The Upper section of the Wye Valley. Builth Wells is famously known for playing host to the Royal Welsh Show, which is the biggest agricultural show in Europe and attracts over 240,000 visitors to the town each year. The cottage is ideally located in regard to beautiful surroundings with Rhayader’s Elan Valley , The Brecon Beacons and the UK’s town of books, Hay of Wye; all just a short drive away. Fishing on the Wye A stones throw away from the Wye , book fishing here @ the fishingpassport website (photos listed). Pant y Llyn Lake just 10 mins from the cottage by car. You can park nearby just off a minor b road and traverse across the top of the hill to reach this fabulous spot.
