Newton Hall Farm cottage on our working dairy farm; idyllic if you like mooing, chirping and twit twoos from our barn owls. It’s mainly quiet, with a good-sized private, south facing garden with views of fields behind, with access to country walks. The farm is your neighbour and you are in the countryside with all that goes with it. Hot tub on the patio with plenty of space for barbequing. Fenced garden, safe for small children and dogs. Off road parking (2 cars max). Free WiFi.

My husband and I are dairy farmers at the farm next door to the cottage and we now have 3 grown-up children. After many years of long-term letting, we decided to try something different and offer more people the benefit of staying in our lovely farm cottage. We always feel emotionally tied to the cottage, as we lived in it ourselves for 10 years, with our then young children. We have so many happy memories of them playing in the garden. We enjoyed the lovely views, peace and quiet and very sunny south-facing garden. It’s a lovely quiet spot, apart from some farm noises and visiting children always love seeing the cows and calves and feeling that they are part of the farm.

The cottage is located in a fairly quiet village with a well-stocked shop, farm-shop and a good local pubs serving food. There is lots of easy access public footpath walks in the local area. Good road and rail links to the Coastal towns of Lytham, St. Annes and Blackpool; country villages and walks. You don’t have to travel far to find country pubs and outdoor activities but we are also very handy to the city of Preston which has some fab eating places, cinemas, bowling and night life. We are also very handy for Blackpool and all it’s tourist attractions.
