Nestling between the northern Pennine fells and Lake District National Park, Bowscale Suite enjoys uninterrupted views towards the highest point on the Pennine Way, Cross Fell. Conveniently accessed from the M6, Junction 40, this lovely, top floor, duplex is only a 15 minute drive from Penrith and 20 minutes from the bustling market town of Keswick and Derwent water. Due to the variability of car Sat Nav, guests are advised to follow the brown road signs on the A66 providing additional directions to Whitbarrow Village. On the ground floor, the duplex offers twin sink bathroom, with shower over bath. Beyond the entrance hallway, the cosy kitchen and living accommodation provides a compact kitchenette, including twin hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Guests are immediately drawn to the french doors, providing access to the large terrace and it’s panoramic views. A wall mounted, flat screen, Freeview TV, sofa, armchair and dining table complete the living facilities. A staircase leads into the spacious bedroom, enjoying natural light from two roof windows, double bed, another wall mounted, Freeview TV, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. Recent, extensive refurbishment, includes new sofa, dining tables and chairs, new, King Size bed and mattress, new fridge, USB sockets and total redecoration. An iron, with mini board and hair dryer are provided for guest use. Whitbarrow Village offers a wide range of facilities for guest usage, including a recently refurbished gym, heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, bar, restaurant, two workstations and 7 day per week reception. Reception now offer takeaway tea and coffee, along with a small shop, selling food and drink essentials. Please note the bar and restaurant are currently closed Wednesday and Thursday. Check opening times with reception prior to arrival.

Bordering the World Heritage Lake District National Park, Whitbarrow Village offers ready access to Great and Little Mell Fells, Carrock Fell, lovely Mungrisedale and the renowned Blencathra, considered one of the Lake District’s most challenging mountains. The neighbouring village of Greystoke, along with Keswick and Penrith offer a wide variety of pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. Situated on the National Cycle Network, the village is ideal for accessing a wide variety of cycle routes. A short drive through stunning Matterdale, leads to the shoreline of Ullswater and it’s cluster of pretty lakeside villages. Keswick’s Derwentwater is also easily accessible. A series of brown road signs, from the A66, direct guests to Whitbarrow Village.
