Cwmbach Lodge is a recently refurbished property set in 4.5 acres which includes 2 streams one which feeds a lake very popular with local ducks. It has stunning views of the Black Mountains which can be enjoyed from the patio area outside each room. Breakfast is served in the privacy of your room where the table is set in your own bay window taking advantage of the views.
Guests are free to roam and enjoy the gardens or just sit on the patio and enjoy a drink.
The bathrooms are of the highest standard .
While each room has a TV and free wifi we hope that the picture outside will make both of these obsolete!
We have recently installed an EV charging point which is available to guests at cost price.
Clare and John are new hosts and are looking forward to sharing Cwmbach lodge with as many people as possible. They only moved here in March 2019 and for the past 8 months have been "hosting" builders. The property and location has a way of getting under your skin - it really is a special place.
Cwmbach Lodge is situated in the hamlet of Cwmbach less than a mile from the centre of Glasbury on Wye . Glasbury is a thriving village with pubs and restaurants. It has a canoe launching point and is a very popular spot with wild water swimmers. We are situated on the Wye Valley Walk and on sustrans route 8 which is very popular with cyclists.
Hay on Wye , the nearest town , is 5 miles away and is of course famous for books and its annual literary festival. It also has many independent shops and numerous pubs and restaurants.
Brecon is 12 miles away and is a good base for many walks or cycle rides
Builth Wells the location for the Royal Welsh show is 14 miles away. Other local towns of interest include Crickhowell and Abergavenny.
