Dovehouse is a spacious family run self catering accommodation in a fantastic location near the town centre of Redcar. Situated across the road from both a 140 acre nature reserve home to otters, swans, heron and over 200 species of birds (https://w.wiki/AX8E) and the picturesque Locke Park; which boasts a boating lake with café-dining, children's play area, tennis courts, football field, bowling green, and beautiful rose garden. A popular Chinese takeaway restaurant, bus stops and a 24 hour convenience shop are all located within 150 metres. A short 10 minute walk to Redcar beach's newly constructed 18 hole winter themed adventure golf course and play park. Redcar beach's long stretch of wide golden sands make it a popular spot for horse riding, scuba diving, windsurfing and kite surfing alike. With dunes, petrified forest & rock pools; as well as an esplanade hosting family amusements arcades, bingo, the world’s oldest surviving lifeboat (The Zetland (1802-64), award winning ice creams and fish n chips and the 80ft high Redcar Beacon to enjoy the stunning views from. Redcar leisure centre has a gym, swimming and kids splash pools, as well as a FlowRider surf simulator. With all this and more, there is much to see and do within walking distance.
