Company information

We bought Dromore House in 1999 and tackled a dilapidated old house in much need of tlc. It has been a pleasure to slowly bring the house and garden back to life with lots of hard work and creativity. My background is in hospitality and have worked with food and wine in Asia. I love to travel - particularly to expand my food & wine knowledge and am very comfortable in the kitchen, cooking and making my guests feel welcome. As a gardener, I try to grow fruit vegetables and flowers for the kitchen and create unique places to sit out and enjoy the unique environment. We are blessed with an amazing backdrop of mature trees- many well over 100 yrs old and so good to share this special place with our travellers.

Property information

Dromore House is on the 1826 ordinance survey map so celebrating a 200 year history very soon. However, it is likely to have built some time before this. Restored over the past 20 years, it has retained almost all of its original features. The location, although in the countryside, it is right near to all amenities as close to Coleraine as a few minutes away. It is possible to explore all of N Ireland and use Dromore House as a base...We offer an authentic Irish country house stay - a house that is welcoming, chock full of original, art and collectables, it oozes character and has a unique atmosphere. Fabulous Egyptian cotton sheets, painted floorboards, roll top baths with seaweed treatments and cooked to order breakfasts....these are some of the joys that await you. The garden is a haven of loveliness with places to sit out and enjoy this uniquely charming place to unwind.

Neighbourhood information

The house is set right out in beautiful countryside with stunning views from the rooms through the mature trees looking over the fields. We are only 5 minutes away from shops and the cinema. Approx 10/15 minutes to Castlerock beach and Downhill and Mussenden. The countryside around is mainly farming land and there are sheep and cattle in the fields around us and yet we are only 25 mins to the Giants Causeway and 1 hr to Belfast.
