Duart Cottage has recently been renovated to the highest standard led by our interior designer. It provides a cosy self catering base in the heart of Glencoe village beside the church and walking distance to the village store and pub. Two bathrooms and three bedrooms, two with twin beds and the other with adult bunks. Especially equipped to serve those seeking to enjoy the many outdoor activities the area has to offer with our own dedicated drying room, and secure bike and ski storage. The cottage also boasts a small mountaineering library.
We fell in love with Duart Cottage because of its traditional interior and central location in the heart of Glencoe village. As keen hillwalkers and skiers we are looking forward to sharing this central base with all our guests.
The site of the Glencoe Massacre is nearby and walking is available straight from the door. The mountains of Glencoe need no introduction to hill walkers and climbers. Two of Scotland's ski slopes are a short drive and the sea loch of Loch Leven is a short walk away. The famous Clachaig Inn makes a special night out.
The largest indoor ice climbing wall in the world is just down the road at the Ice Factor which provides a great day out with activities for all ages. The picturesque town of Oban is 30k distant from where ferries can be taken to visit the Isle of Mull and other Hebridean islands.
