We also have a shop front on High Street in Elie should you wish to pop in and chat. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We are happy to communicate with all guests as much as necessary, but will otherwise leave you to enjoy your stay. When the booking is confirmed you will receive instructions via email with all the necessary information to check in at your leisure. Check in is from 4pm, unless one of our early check in options has been purchased. Check out is strictly 10am, unless one of our late check out options has been purchased. Check in is via a secure key box for which you will be provided the key box code 7 days prior to arrival. Short Stay Family offers you the chance to enhance your stay by purchasing optional extras. From a super early check in of 2pm to a luxury celebration hamper delivered to your choice of property so you are ready to pop open the champagne on arrival.

Tucked within the historic Elie House estate, this stunning two-bedroom loft apartment blends 17th-century grandeur with a sleek, modern interior. Originally built in 1697 and later used as a convent in the 1970s, Elie House has been thoughtfully converted into a collection of luxury residences, surrounded by beautiful private grounds. From here, you’re just a short distance from Elie’s village centre and long sandy beach, with coastal walks, cafés and golf all close by – a peaceful, characterful base for exploring the East Neuk and nearby St Andrews. Inside, 12 Elie House feels calm, bright and contemporary, with modern finishes, gas central heating and underfloor heating creating a cosy retreat in every season. The loft-style layout offers stylish open-plan living space and two comfortable bedrooms, ideal for couples, friends or a small family. There’s Wi-Fi for planning days out or streaming in the evenings, and bed linen and towels are supplied (guests are simply asked to bring their own if using the sofa bed, and to pack beach towels for days on the sand). Practical touches make longer stays feel easy. The apartment comes with two off-street parking spaces, and there’s a shed available for safely storing bikes after coastal rides or rounds of golf. A lift serves the upper levels of the house, with just a few stairs up to the flat’s own front door (please note the lift is shared and outwith the owner’s control, so availability can’t be guaranteed). Up to two pets are welcome by arrangement, so four-legged guests can enjoy the estate grounds and nearby beaches too. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property.

Elie and Earlsferry are two of the most picturesque towns in the East Neuk with a beautiful long sandy beach and a pretty little harbour. The golf links are the feature that joins the beautiful villages of Earlsferry and Elie and the local population are justifiably proud of their ancient course. The course has evolved over the centuries from a simple links golfing tract in the 1500s to the fine 18 hole course it is today. Elie town centre has lots of little shops ranging from the Elie Deli, Carol's Ice Cream Shop and the pharmacy, all the way to The Ship by the Harbour with its beach cricket and good food. Everything in Elie and Earlsferry is within walking distance, be it the Elie Ness Lighthouse, the beaches, the Links golf course and many more facilities. The bus routes are all frequent and easy to use. Taxis are available to the surrounding towns and St Andrews. 15 mins walk to Elie town centre, 5 mins walk to Elie Golf Course and less than 1 mins walk to the long, sandy Elie & Earlsferry Beach. Supermarket available in Anstruther, but lots of small local shops in Elie will provide most of what you will need.
