Glencroft cottage is a fairytale thatched highland cottage built in 1894 and situated in the historic village of Fortingall Aberfeldy Scotland. The cottage is surround by the most spectacular scenery and beautiful wildlife and has been lovingly refurbished with a great attention to detail with an emphasis on comfort and luxury for our guests, making Glencroft Cottage a truly memorable experience.
IHello my name is Annie and I live in beautiful Perthshire Scotland. have 3 grown up sons and we are all from a jewellery back ground and all share similar interests.
My passions and hobbies are interior design and renovation, cooling, skiing and travel.
Fortingall is an historic village approximately 10 minutes from Aberfeldy and 20 minutes to Kenmore. Fortingall is suggested to have the oldest Yew tree in Britain which is over 5000 years old ( definitely worth a visit). The four star Fortingall hotel is an easy walk from the cottage where you can find bistro style food and also a fine dining restaurant. Each Friday evening there is a local gathering of talented musicians that get together in the car area making for a really lively and fun atmosphere. There is a highland safari nearby and a golf course in Aberfeldy with individual local shops, and a very fine and unique Sporran maker. There are a selection of cafe’s and restaurants. Further on into the village of Grandtully you will find a world award winning chocolatier where you can book a chocolate tasting experience. There is also a wonderful restaurant ‘The Inn on the Tay which is situated on the edge of the river rapids and watch the canoe slalom course as you enjoy a fine lunch.
In nearby Kenmore which is situated on Loch Tay you will find water sports, all types of fishing and a small beach to relax and simply take in the spectacular views.
