Faith Cottage is a three bedroomed semi detached cottage that started it's life as a clock factory in the late 1800's early 1900's. Due to it's age and heritage it is full of quirky characteristics and charm. The sitting room is bright and cosy with a view of the small front garden whilst the dining room is a comfortable space for up to 6 people to dine. It leads to the small but functional kitchen with a walk in pantry and access to the larger garden which has a small pond - please take care of children and vulnerable people around the pond. The garden is surrounded by shrubs and is a good place to enjoy sunny days. The bedrooms are spread over the two upper floors with the larger, main bedroom- which has a king size bed, at the front of the house and the second, double bedroom located across the staircase, from the main bedroom and beside the toilet and shower room. The third bedroom is currently a single bedroom and can be found up it's own staircase which is hidden behind a door. This staircase is quite steep so probably won't be suitable for smaller children or anyone with mobility problems. Faith Cottage has recently been renovated and has new carpets and flooring throughout and is ready to be your home for however long you choose to stay. Reservations longer than 7 nights include complimentary weekly housekeeping Gardening is provided according to the seasonal requirements of the garden. In spring and summer months a barbeque can be provided upon request.

Faith Cottage was my home for a few years and I hope you can enjoy it as I have and explore the area including Hadrian's Wall, Lanetcost Priory, Talkin Tarn and the lovely market town of Brampton which is and full of great independent shops, bars and restaurants. There are many places of interest to explore beyond the immediate area, including Walby Farm, various Golf Courses, a motorcycle museum and of course, the beautiful Lake District and the North Pennines and stunning Northumberland Coast and country parks not forgetting the rustic and fabulous Scottish coastline of Dumfries and Galloway and the Boarders area of Scotland and England. Faith Cottage is a fabulous base for exploring tis entire area which offers an abundance of history, dramatic scenery and folklore. I still love exploring the area and find something new each time.

Faith Cottage is in a lovely quiet residential street with great neighbours who will happily share their knowledge of the area and probably a bit of the history as most attended the old primary school at the top of the street which is now a lovely development of houses. The local tourist information centre is located at Moot Hall which is a beautiful rotunda building with a clock tower. Moot Hall can be found by walking down the street straight in front of the Co-op and along the wee path staying towards the right. You'll come out between a care home and some shops to find Moot Hall directly in front of you, pretty much in the centre of the town. There are farmers markets there on Wednesday and Saturday on a regular basis. No matter what time of year you visit, there will always be something interesting, fun and exciting to do in and around Brampton.
