The house is a two-bedroom property - please let the host know if you have any specific requirements e.g. travel cot Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. The house is dog friendly too and in walking distance to a number of local beauty spots and attractions, Wells city centre is a 20 minute walk away and Wookey Hole Caves is a 5 minute drive in the opposite direction. There are a number of restaurants and pubs in the city centre and there are also a number of takeaways available for delivery. It is a 20-minute drive from Glastonbury festival, Glastonbury town centre and also Cheddar Gorge. 1 hour from both Bristol and Bath, with plenty of transport links nearby. The house is light and modern and comes with allocated parking for one vehicle. The host is on hand to answer any questions, the spot is very popular, so please book in advance and if you have any questions or requests please let us know. Often described as England’s smallest city, Wells still manages to pack a lot of interesting sights into its tiny borders.Wells is most known for its cathedral and collection of holy wells (which give the town its name) but there’s more to discover here than just those attractions. 1. Wells Cathedral 2. Vicar’s Close 3. Wells Market Place - Markets every Wendesday and Saturday 4. The Bishop’s Palace and Garden 5. St Cuthbert’s Church 6. Wells and Mendip Museum 7. Wookey Hole Museum and Caves 8. Cheddar Gorge and Caves 9. Numerous beauty spots closeby Ebbor Gorge, Deer Leap 10. Glastonbury town centre and the FESTIVAL There are various restaurants and takeaways in town, some do deliver as well, family favourites - Root, Loaf, The Sheep and Penguin, Da Lucianos and Rugatinos. Supermarkets - Waitrose, Tesco and Morrisons A wide range of independent cafes and shops around town. The charity shops and independent shops including the reclamation yard on the outskirts of town are also really good for a mooch around. There are also a number of shows on at the Bath and West Showground which is based near Shepton Mallet, a favourite of ours is the antiques fair!
