Really cozy comfortable little cottage. Really quiet and peaceful. Great location for exploring the lizard. It was lovely to see the donkeys in the garden.

The location was great, the accommodation was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. They added a few extras to really make the stay special. The accommodation was bigger than we expected.

Very cosy and well equipped. The hosts left us some lovely local things for our arrival which was a nice touch and made us feel welcome. The scenery was beautiful and we loved being on a farm with close proximity to the coast and local towns still.

Lovely and clean, well maintained, kitchen items fully stocked, cream tea left for us on arrival! Loved waking up the animals in the area, and watching the birds and chickens around the bird feeder.

Lovely, clean, comfortable and spacious lodge with a patio, easy to find and within a short driving distance from beautiful beaches (among other things) on the Lizard peninsula. Very kind guests, who provided plenty of suggestions for short walks...

Comfortable rural retreat within our barn conversion (dating back to 1870) on a farm with sheep, pigs, horses, hens and 2 delightful donkeys. Relax beside the log burner (a basket of logs is supplied on arrival). Open plan modern kitchen with electric cooker/induction hob/fridge/washing machine/microwave and (hopefully!) all the utensils you'll need for self-catering. The lounge/diner has natural stone in the walls & fireplace & opens on to your own garden & patio which soaks up the afternoon sun. The bedroom is delightful with beams and a shepherd hut style double bed with plenty of storage room underneath. (The bed does involve a little hop/climb to get into & is accessible from one side only)!! There is a cupboard just off the bedroom with plenty of room for hanging your clothes (hangers included) and storage above. Wi-Fi & free off-road parking. Oil central heating and radiator/s in each room so you wont be chilly! Our place is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Mullion Golf course & sandy beaches are within 2.5 miles. It is central for touring the beautiful Lizard Peninsula including the exquisite Kynance Cove which is approximately 7 miles from here.
We are a Cornish couple who run a sheep farm. There are also horses, pigs (who have become pets!..) and poultry. Richard (my husband) keeps bees. We both appreciate our natural surroundings living in a rural environment. We have good local knowledge and are happy to help. We live next door and will leave your key in a safe place on arrival. You will be left in peace to enjoy your stay or we can be contacted if you require any guidance or local advice. A travel cot and/or highchair is available on request. Please give prior notice if this is required. We also provide a fireguard if younger guests are staying.
We are ideally situated for lovers of the great outdoors. There is a surf school at Poldhu Cove just a 7 minute drive away. We are central to the South West coast path for those who enjoy walking and/or visiting the quaint villages & fishing coves on The Lizard Peninsula such as Cadgwith, Mullion, Coverack and Porthleven. There are also several inland footpaths within walking distance. Coarse lake fishing and pony-trekking are available nearby as is windsurfing, kayaking and boat hire. Our closest bus stop is approximately half mile up the lane. The capital city of Truro and bustling seaside towns of St Ives & Falmouth are all within 21 miles while the quaint market town of Helston is just a 10 minute drive. The well reputed Thai Takeaway (Jumunjy's Thai Cuisine) is half mile up the road. The closest shops will be found at Mawgan or Mullion both approximately 2.5 miles or there is a Tesco, Sainsbury's & Lidl at Helston. We are in a wooded valley which is also home to a variety of birds. You may hear buzzards and at dusk the owls. The location is conveniently situated just off the Helston to Lizard road. There are no street lights. Free range eggs are for sale at the gate.
